Wake up and enjoy a yummy breakfast at your lodge before heading out on a fun drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. As you travel down the Great Rift Valley, you'll see some amazing views of the valley below. It's like a picture-perfect scene from a nature documentary! Did you know that the Great Rift Valley is a big ridge that goes through Kenya? The road you're driving on was actually built by Italian Prisoners of War during World War II - pretty cool, right?Keep your eyes peeled as you pass by Mount Longonot, a volcano near Lake Naivasha. Speaking of Lake Naivasha, it's a freshwater lake right in the middle of the Great Rift Valley. The name comes from the Maasai word for "rough water" because of the sudden storms that can pop up. Once you arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, check in at your lodge and grab some lunch. In the afternoon, get ready for a safari drive around Lake Nakuru. This lake is famous for being one of Kenya's soda lakes and is home to lots of cool animals. You might spot baboons, lions, and even the rare Rothschild giraffe! And the lake is surrounded by cool places like Menengai crater, Bahati hills, and the Mau escarpment. Get ready for an adventure you'll never forget!Come hang out at the Lodge for dinner and spend the night!Because the lake's water levels are going up, there aren't as many flamingos around anymore. That's why the pink color of the flamingos isn't as bright as it used to be.
Get ready for an exciting adventure to Kenya's famous Masai Mara Game Reserve! You'll be heading out after breakfast to explore this amazing place. As you travel through the Great Rift Valley, you'll reach the northern part of the Serengeti Plains, where the Masai Mara is located. This reserve is known for its rich wildlife and abundance of animals. When you arrive, you'll be greeted warmly and enjoy a delicious lunch at the cozy Tipilikwani Camp. After lunch, get ready for an afternoon of game viewing in the vast Masai Mara Reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for the 'big five' animals that this area is famous for - lions, Cape buffalos, elephants, black rhinos, and leopards. The savannah grasslands stretch as far as you can see, and you might spot black-manned lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more animals. After a full day of exploring, you'll head back to the camp to freshen up before dinner and spending the night under the stars. Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the Masai Mara!
Get ready for an exciting day after a delicious breakfast!
